Statement
by Lindy Chamberlain-Creighton
"I
know that Vada has spent much time and thought over this,
but Vada's theory is one that can neither be proved nor disproved
by the Bible, in my view. As my case is a public one, members
of the public are free to draw any con-clusion they choose,
without consulting me or seeking my per-mission. I believe
that this should be kept in mind - together with much prayer
- by anyone studying Vada's materials."

The
above is NOT Broome, nor a picture of Broome. It is something
helpful to those desirous of getting to Broome, but it is
only a SIGN, and it is situated in Cairns. Even so, Do
not misrepresent the parallels case! The Azaria Chamberlain
story is NOT being presented as a FULFILLMENT of the prophetic
allegory of Revelation 12. The Chamberlain story elements
are parallels acting together as a SIGN POINTING TO THE "INFORMATION
BAY" WHICH IS REVELATION 12. Outside the roles believed
to be played by supernatural forces, parts played in the Chamberlain
drama lock no "actor" into a character or destiny.
The object of this site is neither to vilify nor idolise any
"actor." |

For
Reflection
"Therefore
speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not;
and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand."
Matthew 13:13
"Jesus
["the prince of teachers"] desired to awaken inquiry...
Christ had truths to present which the people were unprepared
to accept or even to understand. For this reason ... He taught
them in par-ables. By connecting His teaching with the scenes
of life, exper-ience, or nature, He secured their attention
and impressed their hearts." Comment on Matthew 13:13-15,
Christ's Object Lessons, pp. 20, 21.
"The
Revelation was not written without tears; neither without
tears will it be under-stood." Benson
"Despise
not proph-esying [of which par-ables are often a part]. Prove
all things; hold fast that which is good." 1 Thess 5:20,
21
"There
is no neutral ground in the universe: every square inch, every
split second, is claimed by God and counter-claimed by Satan."
C.S. Lewis, Christian Relations, p. 33
"Now
faith is the sub-stance of things hoped for, the evidence
of things not seen. ... But without faith it is impossible
to please him: for he who comes to God must believe that he
is, and that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek
him." Heb 11:1-6
"And
the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war
with the remnant of her seed, which
keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus
Christ." Revelation 12:17 |

Introduction
Some
have observed that the Chamberlain story is of mythological
proportions. This website says the story, like the tsunami
and Hurricane Katrina, is of apocalyptic proportions.
The elements of the Azaria Chamberlain drama parallel those
of the prophetic allegory of Revelation 12. Revelation 12
describes the true history of this world and the invisible
battle behind the scenes. "Faith" is being called
to reckon with evidence that God, as Master Scriptwriter,
in fact over-ruled evil angels that the Chamberlain drama
might sound an alarm to the church, the nation and the world.
Knowledge of the Revelation 12 history is prophesied as essential
to the avoidance of deception during the momentous events
foretold in Revelation 13 and 14. |

THE
STORY. Parents Michael and
Lindy Chamberlain and many eye witnesses claimed
that in the cold and dark of the evening of 17
August 1980, a dingo seized and killed their nine-week
old baby Azaria, as she lay sleeping in her carry
basket inside the small family tent. It was pitched
in a public camping area beside Ayers Rock, now
Uluru. Uluru is a one of the largest monoliths
in the world, a geographic icon of Australia,
visited every year by thousands of tourists from
around the worl. To the Pitjandjara Aborigines
who live at its base it is a "sacred site."
Their legends speak of an evil spirit dingo called
Kulpunya. Michael Chamberlain was a pastor of
the little known Seventh-day Adventist church.
The whole story suggested evidence of design and
the nation accused Lindy of murder. A Darwin court
sentenced her to prison for life. It has been
called the most sensational trial in the history
of the nation. After a Royal Commission, the Northern
Territory Supreme Court quashed the convictions
in 1988 and in 1991 Michael and Lindy were paid
$1.3 million in compensation. |

THIS
WEBSITE is not just another retell of
the facts of the Azaria Chamberlain drama. It is a drawing
of attention to an awesome fact maybe sensed by some from
the beginning, but denied or played down for one reason or
another. That fact is: The elements of this drama parallel
the features of Revelation 12, a major prophetic allegory
of the Apocalypse. I first stumbled over this fact in 1993
while seeking to pull out a few lessons from the Chamberlain
trial in order to try and explain a church trial of our own
(in Far North Queensland, 1991-92). Our trial did not directly
involve Darwin, but at the time had the potential of doing
so. We lived in Darwin during the Chamberlain trial, as members
of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Please hear my story.
THE
NATION'S BIBLE STUDY OF THE 1980's. In the
1980's Australia launched into Bible study in the endeavour
to find a story which might damn the Chamberlains. The media
spoke much about a "sacrifice in the wilderness",
where the name "Azaria" (meaning "blessed of
God") was confused with "Azazel", - the scapegoat
in the Day of Atonement services of Leviticus 16. Then came
the story of Jael killing Sisera with a tent peg, in a tent.
Well, at least the tent part seemed to fit. But that's where
the parallels ended so far as that Bible story is concerned.
Comparison of the elements of both stories failed to accommodate
the facts either of the Bible record or the Chamberlain drama.
The nation's Bible study of the 1980's is simply not to be
remembered for its contrite spirit or carefulness with available
evidence. Nevertheless, why did largely secular Australia
go to their Bibles at all?
ALSO FROM
THE CHURCHES: Lest anybody misunderstand,
we cannot but remember also that out of the churches--Baptist,
Catholic, Anglican, Uniting, Pentecostal, others altogether,--emerged
thousands of wonderful people crying, "Fair go!"
How beautiful the story of a Salvation Army band that, at
the peak of hostile feelings against the Chamberlains and
their church, assembled in the foyer of the large Sydney Adventist
Hospital, and quietly played hymns! ..... Many such stories
bore witness to Christian compassion.
TIME
FOR CALM CONSIDERATION. Almost all eye witnesses
supported the dingo story. But Australia accused Lindy of
murder and the media spoke of a bizarre occult ritual. Could
it be that somewhere in the middle of Australia's excursions
into Bible study in the 1980's were some frenzied attempts
to divert attention from the obvious association with the
prophetic allegory of Revelation 12? Here an innocent woman
of light is about to give birth. She has a Male Child. An
angry red dragon who is Satan, stalks her, intent on devouring
her baby as soon as it is born. This baby is later caught
up to heaven. Satan the serpent is cast out of heaven. The
woman flees to the wilderness. She has many other children.
Almost all the world is deceived by the devil's lies. The
imagery of the first half of Revelation 12 is carried through
to the ending of the chapter, where the woman has other children,
male and female, who are the objects of the dragon's last
expression of rage before probation closes for the world.
There have been some popular
misconceptions both about what Revelation 12 actually says,
and about what the Chamberlain's little known church actually
does and believes. Were these misconceptions the reason why
some sought to switch the roles of Lindy and the "devil
dog", making the dingo innocent, and Lindy the most evil
woman in the history of the nation? Along the way Australia's
Bible study of the 1980's succeeded in fuelling such hatred
against the Chamberlains and their church that Lindy was nearly
lynched as a witch, and their church received hate calls.
Australia now looks back
with a sense of shame. It is WISDOM that people know for themselves
what the Apocalypse says. "Apocalypse" is the Greek
word used by the early Christian church to describe the book
of Revelation, the last book of the Bible, written by Christ's
beloved disciple, John.
I am giving sharper focus
to this subject than I have seen given by any other source.
But, even if not done consciously, I believe others have seen
at least something of the parallels phenomenon in the Chamberlain
drama. The media has often noted that the Azaria Chamberlain
drama contains "all the elements of a classic drama."(e.g.
see also Sunday Mail, 30 July 2000) But look at the
front cover of the early edition of John Bryson's book, Evil
Angels. The picture shows the shadow of an evil-looking
dingo cast over red desert soil, such as can be seen surrounding
Ayers Rock as far as the eye can see. The words on the front
cover speak or imply the existence of a mother, a newborn
baby killed and maybe devoured by the dingo, a wilderness,
false accusations, a warfare, and "chambers of judgment."
On the back cover there is mention of bigotry against the
couple's Seventh-day Adventist religion. God and religion
are part of this drama. The elements listed on the front and
back covers of Evil Angels, are also the key elements
of the story of Revelation 12. Then in the body of the book
there are only two references to the words "evil angels"
(see pp. 9 and 254). Both are speaking of the warfare of evil
angels against the Seventh-day Adventist church and its prophet,
Ellen White.
The real life stories in
the book of Daniel illustrate and point to the subject matter
of Daniel's visions, and the visions of the book of Revelation.
Could God today, as in ancient times, work to draw public
attention to a great Bible prophecy that is being or about
to be fulfilled, by again causing a piece of real life history
to function as a pointer parable or allegory? Why not! It
is time for a calm consideration of this subject.
PROVIDENCES:
In my study of this subject since 1993, and in my humble
efforts to write and tell my findings, astonishing providences
and additional related parallels continue to be shaped. The
story is ALIVE! Hear the evidence through. No! I have not
been visited by angels. I make no claims to being a prophetess.
I have not received any special dreams, visions or powers.
But I am speaking of numerous astonishing "coincidences"
which Christian faith calls "providences."
PARABLES.
"In every age God has provided parables and
symbols to aid men in grasping what He is capable of understanding
of heaven's dealings with the world..." Dr Leslie Hardinge,
With Jesus In His Sanctuary, p. 190.
"Therefore speak I to
them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing
they hear not, neither do they understand." Matthew 13:13.
"Jesus desired to awaken inquiry... Christ had truths
to present which the people were unprepared to accept or even
to understand. For this reason ... He taught them in parables.
By connecting His teaching with the scenes of life, experience,
or nature, He secured their attention and impressed their
hearts." Comment on Matthew 13:13-15, Christ's Object
Lessons, pp. 20, 21.
"These signs shall
follow them that believe." Mark 16:17. The "testimony
of Jesus Christ" is promised the last days "remnant
of the woman's seed." Revelation 12:17. "Lo, I am
with you alway, even unto the end of the world." Matthew
28:20. Jesus, the prince of teachers, is not going to cease
shaping and using parables, one of His best teaching methods,
just when the world most needs to hear His voice.
The clue to avoidance of
deception is to remember that new parables will point to and
harmonize with the words that holy men, inspired of God, wrote
in ages past, as recorded in the Bible. See Isaiah 8:19, 20.
BEFORE
YOU READ ON: On the program "60 Minutes",
August 27, 2000, the question was asked whether one of the
prominent Crown witnesses should be tried as the real villain
of the Chamberlain drama. John Bryson replied, "ALL of
us were on trial in the Chamberlain story." He is right.
The Chamberlain story is bigger than any single “actor”
in the drama, even Michael and Lindy themselves. Rather than
now seeking to apportion blame upon some individual somewhere,
it would be more profitable if the focus of the country's
attentions were directed towards seeing what each of us--in
our own sphere of influence--can
do to ensure that such an appalling miscarriage of justice
never occurs again.
I
am looking at a copy of a cartoon by Nicholson, in the Age,
19 August 1988. It shows a smiling dingo labelled "The
Azaria Case" running out of the picture. Behind the dingo
is a trail of messy paw marks encircling, one after the other,
representations of the "Jury System", "Forensic
Science", "Sisterhood", "Law" and
the "RSPCA."
Earlier
in the drama, dingo paw marks were literally painted on the
footpaths of several Seventh-day Adventist churches. The Chamberlain
trial has indeed impacted a wide range of the country's institutions,
including the churches. We have read and heard secular sources
re-examining the Lindy Chamberlain trial, asking, "What
have we learned?"
ONE
LINK IN THE CABLE:
But there is an old saying, "On the strength of one link
in the cable depends the might of the chain." It would
be wisdom to ask a further question. "Where was God during
the Chamberlain drama? Why did He permit this story to transpire?"
This website has to do with this important link in the chain.
Nobody is being forced to believe the parallels case. But
I believe it is in the public interests that the fact of the
existence of these parallels be brought to their notice, so
that persons as individuals can make an informed response.
GOD
IS NO RESPECTER OF PERSONS.
I do not wish either to overstate or to understate the significance
of a serious study of the parallels' case. Please take it
seriously, and do not read this website without
prayer! Some of the providences which have occurred
during my own study will further explain the reason for this
appeal.
Come
before God with a subdued spirit, then claim His promise to
grant spiritual discernment. May the Holy Spirit guide you
into truth and prepare you to face the future with hope, assured
of God's measureless love. He is alive, and He is
anxious to speak to you. "But the Comforter, which
is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he
shall teach you all things..." John 14:26.
God
is no respecter of persons. I
myself am an ordinary Australian, seeking to be humble before
the facts. Do not be deterred by any limitations on my part
as presenter of the parallels' case. "If
any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether
it be of God, or whether I speak of myself." John 7:17.
NEW
IDEAS. "New opinions are always suspected,
and usually opposed, without any other reason but because
they are not already common." John Locke, Essay on
Human Understanding.
When confronted with the
beautiful, liberating teachings of Jesus Christ, the people
in His day asked nervously, "Have any of the rulers or
of the Pharisees believed on him?" John 7:48. But thousands
did eventually overcome the pull of popular but false traditions,
and choose the way of salvation by Jesus. Neither are the
true-hearted of today locked into following the majority to
perdition. But each is called and enabled to make a personal
choice.
I believe we are heading
into the last great crisis of this earth's history. Those
who fail to remember history and its lessons are doomed to
repeat its mistakes. The prophecies of the Apocalypse predict
and give the light needed by us all, high or low, if we would
face the future with hope. I have been led on a thrilling
study of these prophecies as a result of searching out the
Biblical meaning of the elements of the Chamberlain drama.
I am certain God never permitted this whole saga to be lived
out that only a handful of persons should discover this tremendous
aid and siren call to study of endtime Bible prophecy. I am
constrained to speak out. So help me God!
